Dan P. Carr paints Borlotti Beans, part 2

Building up layers of color here. In Rembrandt and Vermeer's day "working up" meant taking a painting to its completed state and usually by working from background to foreground, however in this case I am doing all areas at once (less efficient).

Total time in this painting was about 12 hours over 10 separate sessions (counting Part 1), so it had some time to dry a little between layers. The first 9 sessions took place on consecutive nights, with the final one almost two weeks later to finish it up. Oil on linen panel 8x10.
