Strangford Lough acrylic painting by Steve Buchanan - This painting was created as a birthday present for my friend Claire. The inspiration for it coming from a recent visit to Ireland to see my parents. They live in Newtownards which is at the northern end of the Ards Peninsula on the Eastern side of Northern Ireland. The inland water of the peninsula is called Strangford Lough at it is from a sunset photograph that I had taken which inspired this painting.
